Tips to Make Yourself look Great

In no particular order here are a brace of tips to enhance your look and make you feel good about yourself. Some are blindingly obvious (but worth repetition) while others may take you by surprise!
 First up is… Sleep. You should always try to get at least eight hours sleep a night. It not only calms the body but also soothes the soul. And come on, we all know what we look like when we’ve had a very late night and look in the mirror in the morning…

 Next get yourself a Classic Barrette. Because just slipping a simple curved clip into your hair behind one ear shows that you have got understated chic. Just the one mind!

 Get a decent thick body builder for your hair. Mousse makes your hair both look and feel thicker. Make sure you distribute the foam evenly: New York City hairstylist Cedric Celik tells you to put a big dollop in your hand, run a wide-tooth comb through it, then drag the comb from roots to tips. Got that?

 How about a spot of line eraser? Have you come across the latest hyaluronic acid filler, Belotero? It fills lines around the eyes and lips and plumps under-eye hollows, reputedly without the occasional side effects (tiny bumps, a blue tinge) of other fillers; tiny bumps and/or a slight colour tinge.Ok it’s serious intervention, but it lasts 6 months.

 How about a visit to the salon for a quick trim? Just taking taking one inch of hair away can add volume to your style and re-freshen your overall look. It’s also nice to be pampered and to catch up on any local gossip!

 Here’s a quick one that you can do almost anywhere. Slow deep breathing for just 2-5 minutes is great for calming your nervous system and sending away any tensions you may have. The tranquillity and sense of peace also shows in your face and enhances your looks. Here’s how to do it: Close your mouth and inhale through your nose for a count of four. Hold your breath for a count of seven. Exhale slowly through your mouth for a count of eight. Repeat this cycle until 2-5 minutes have passed. See? Feel better already!

 Refresh your eyes without using any beauty product. Soak a thin piece of cloth such as a thin flannel or old T-shirt in cold soy milk and lay it over your eyes while lying down.
Soy milk is a terrific anti-inflammatory; it also hydrates to smooth fine lines. Cheap too!

 Here’s a great little trick for a magical manicure. First apply one coat of Essie Repstyle Nail Polish (around £10) maybe the silvery Snake, Rattle and Roll and deep green Crocadilly—then hold the magnetized cap over each nail. Hey Presto! A snakeskin pattern appears like magic. Fascinating!

 Finally never underestimate the relaxation and satisfaction you can have with a warm bath, scented candles, and a little ambient music. After a long tiring day…Bliss!
